PestNET New Zealand (PestNET NZ )
PestNET NZ is the national representative body of pest control contractors in New Zealand.
Pest control contractors were previously represented by two organisations: ‘Vector Control Contractors Association’ in the South Island and PestNET New Zealand in the North Island. The two organisations merged in November 2007 to form a single national body called PestNET New Zealand.
PestNET will represent members at a national level to the Animal Health Board and the Department of Conservation and, at a local level, to Regional Councils. There will also be a representative member on the National Pest Control Agencies (NPCA) executive.
National Executive
It is intended that the national executive will, if possible, be representative of the membership, through:
- even numbers of members the North and South Islands
- a mix of control and monitoring contractors, as well as other industry groups such as researchers and manufacturers.
The current core executive committee comprises:

- Tony Leith
Executive meetings will be held alternately in the North and South Islands and, where possible, will coincide with events such as the PestNET NZ Technology Conference and the annual NETS New Zealand Biosecurity Conference. Meetings will be advertised and are open to all members.
